From May 24 to June 2, 2011, the creative industry delegation, which was primarily organized by Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economic and Casermatization, had conducted a ten-day activity of officially investigating the creative industries in Italy and Czech Republic. As the only non-state-owned enterprise, DOBE took part in this investigation activity together with leaders of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economic and Casermatization, leaders of economic commissions and commercial commissions in various districts and state-owned enterprises such as Zhangjiang Culture Holdings, on behalf of Shanghai Creative Industry Custer Area.
The first station of activity is “Fashion City” --- Milan, Italy. On May 25, the delegation participated in “Milan-Shanghai Weekly Creative Industry Forum” hosted by Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economic and Casermatization and the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade (ICE).
As one of important activities under the frame of Italian “Chinese Culture Year”, Feng Guoqin (chairman of Shanghai CPPCC ), Lady Liang Hui (China's Consul General in Milan), Mr. Vattani (chairman of Italian Institute for Foreign Trade), Mr. Formigoni (chairman of Lombardy in Italy) and Mr. Bernardi (deputy mayor of Milan) made their speeches respectively. Subsequently, DOBE made the keynote speech on behalf of Chinese Creative Industry Cluster Area, arousing a strong reaction.
“Buongiorno, Milano!” (Good morning, Milan!) When Jiabo (president of DOBE) started his speech with greetings in Italian, it immediately won bursts of applause, which showed respect for Italian culture.
Jiabo described six creative parks developed and constructed by DOBE in details: “E-Manor”, which manifests the classic Chinese philosophy; “F525 Creative Woods”, which manifests profound Buddhist Zen implications, “Sports LOFT Creative Park”, which brings vivid sense of motion, … These creative parks arouse strong interest of Italian representatives for their clear themes and unique features.
