Recently, the Human Resources and Social Security Bureau of Changning District of Shanghai awarded DOBE the title “Unit of Harmonious Labor Relations in 2013-2014”.
To carry out the spirit of the 6th Plenary Session of the 17th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Ministry of Commerce issued the “Guiding Opinions about Strengthening Business Credit Construction During the 12th 5-Year Plan Period”, requiring 10 cities, including Shanghai, to carry out the pilot work for business credit construction. Shanghai was the earliest city in China to carry out credit system construction. Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce actively implemented the spirit of the document issued by the Ministry of Commerce. Changning District’s Joint Congress for the Coordination of Labor Relations organized the “Construction of Enterprises of Harmonious Labor Relations in 2013-2014”, aiming to promote the construction of harmonious enterprises, as well as the honest recruitment and use of labors. More than 500 enterprises, including Ctrip and Unilever, took part in this activity. As an enterprise in Changning District, DOBE also actively took part in the activity.
A Unit of Harmonious Labor Relations must have a complete set of rules and regulations in compliance with national laws and regulations; must have legal procedures for labor contract signing, alteration, renewal, dissolution, termination, and execute labor contracts in accordance with law; must execute national working hours, vocation systems, and the special labor protection provisions for female employees; must pay salaries on time in full amounts, pay for social insurance in accordance with law; must have labor protection measures and labor safety and health conditions up to state specified standards; must have no heavy casualties or occupational hazards; must handle the troubles between labor and management properly, have no losing of labor dispute arbitration or mass disturbance caused by labor security problems in the past 2 years. DOBE is up to standard in all the above aspects. Through “application submission, qualification verification, and social review”, DOBE got the title of “Changning District’s Unit of Harmonious Labor Relations”.
