On May 19, a party of 20 led by Yang Xiong, Deputy Secretary of Shanghai Municipal Party Committee, Mayor of Shanghai, and Secretary of Municipal Leading Party Group, visited DOBE for investigation. Wang Weiren, Secretary of Changning District Party Committee, and Xie Feng Deputy Secretary of Changning District Party Committee and Head of Changning District, accompanied the visitors throughout the visit.
Mayor Yang visited dianping.com and Founder Entrepreneurial Community in DOBE E-manor of Changning, looked into DOBE’s small and micro enterprise incubation and support, and had kind communication with enterprises in the park.
Dianping.com characterized by independent 3rd-party consumption comments is a leading urban personal consumption O2O platform in China. It has independent users on the cellphone client-side. The company’s co-founder Long Wei demonstrated how to buy tickets online and pick up tickets offline. Mayor Yang nodded repeatedly with admiration, and encouraged dianping.com to dig services in life by taking advantage of the internet.
In 2015, to support small and micro enterprises’ development better, DOBE Park introduced Founder Entrepreneurial Community. Its founder Wan Lijiang introduced the community’s “joint office+ startup +investment” pattern and the full-course worry-free service “from kindergarten to university” for startup entrepreneurs to Mayor Yang. Mayor Yang had dialogue and exchanges with startup teams in the community. The startup teams’ introduction full of passion and the leaders’ praises and encouragement aroused much laughter.
Mayor Yang said: “Founder Entrepreneurial Community has formed certain scale in small and micro enterprise incubation and support. It has irreplaceable network and community advantages. Especially small and micro enterprises’ some innovative projects that break traditions and have internet thought opened the way of thinking and accumulated experience for traditional industries’ transformation and upgrading.”
After the visit and investigation, Mayor Yang pointed out that in the new development stage characterized by knowledge economy and internet economy, facing the hot situation that people are encouraged to start businesses and make innovations, the government should create characteristic innovation clusters based on the Innovation Center for Science and Technology, keep deepening functional transformation, reform and adjust the government’s management and service methods and corresponding measures according to enterprises’ needs, actively explore new open modes better than before, arrange and promote work with innovation as the driving force, let the market and enterprises do what they can do as much as possible, to make the construction of the Innovation Center for Science and Technology really turn into a driving force and an actual productive force for development.
