From July 26 to July 28, 2013, the volunteers of Dobe Water Molecule Voluntary Service gathered together again. They went to Pucheng, Nanping, Fujian to visit and fund the local underprivileged children, bringing care and hope to these children in mountainous areas eager for knowledge.
This time, Dobe Water Molecule Volunteer Service had the largest team ever. The companies in Dobe Tianshan E-Manor, Changning Dobe E-Manor, Dobe Creative LOFT, Dobe F525 and other parks answered the calls of Water Molecule one after another. Some of them went personally, and some of them donated school supplies, both bringing warmth to the children thousands of miles away.
Upon their arrival at Pucheng, Water Molecule Voluntary Service began its visits. The volunteers walked along the rugged mountain road and visited every family. All volunteers were shocked by the harsh living environment and children's eyes eager to learn. Some children had lost their parents and were raised by their grandparents that had already been unable to work; some of them had to take care of their sick father in bed; and some of them had never celebrated their birthday. Facing such scenes, the volunteers always living in big cities were moved greatly. “In addition to material assistance, what the children need more is spiritual companionship. If they have lost their father, we are their father. If they have lost their mother, we are their mother. We will accompany them, letting them grow up healthily and happily with love!”, a volunteer helping to raise a child said, “When providing spiritual companionship, it is imperative to teach the children to acquire the ability to live by themselves and be happy.”
In the three days, the volunteers were busy from early morning to late night. They visited a total of 40 poor families, with 33 of which having been helped previously and 7 of them being helped from now on.
Dobe Water Molecule Voluntary Service has been dedicated to helping children in distress and establishing a trustworthy and practical way for donors. At the same time, resources are made use of to complement each other to build a platform for social benefits. In such a way, more caring people can realize their dreams for public welfare, and more children in poor mountainous areas can get practical help. It is expected that more companies in the parks can join Dobe Water Molecule Voluntary Service next year to bring warm hugs to kids in the poor areas.
