Recently, DoBe Group and the Royal Institute of Purchasing and Logistics (CIPS) of the United Kingdom jointly held a two-day in-depth purchasing and supply chain management research event at the DoBe Hongqiao Green Valley WE Campus. As an important part of DoBe Group's 2024 Supplier Learning and Growth plan, this event aims to enhance customer experience and service level with supplier partners through in-depth exchanges and cooperation, and promote the efficient, healthy and sustainable development of the park.
The research event attracted nearly 20 outstanding supplier representatives and more than 50 purchasing managers from global 500 companies such as CBRE, Woolworths, SKF, Jaguar Land Rover, and at the same time, procurement experts from the University of Nottingham Ningbo were also invited to attend. Discuss the latest trends and practical experiences in purchasing and supply chain management.
On the first day of the event, the DoBe Supply Chain Center and the DoBe R & D Design Institute introduced the development history, business layout and core role of DoBe Group in the construction of the park in detail. From site selection and development to daily operation and management, the Supply chain Center and R & D design Institute participate in the whole process to ensure efficient construction and reliable operation of the project, and provide more quality service experience for park customers.
In order to further enhance the professional quality and practical ability of the students, the study event also invited Ms. Jia Yi Liu, senior procurement and supply chain expert of Tetra Pak Group, as the keynote speaker. Through strategy sharing and case analysis, she deeply analyzed the key elements of business negotiation, explained the importance of risk control and cost management, and taught negotiation skills and practical methods of contract management. The first day of the course focused on business negotiation and risk identification, and the second day explored the key elements of commercial contracts, including the design of performance protection and liability for breach of contract, which not only enriched the professional knowledge of the students, but also provided new ideas and inspiration for their future work.
The event also set up a face-to-face exchange between procurement and suppliers. The two sides held in-depth discussions on cost control, cooperation risks and other issues, and this open and frank communication greatly promoted the understanding and trust between the two sides, laying a solid foundation for future cooperation. At the same time, the participants also visited DoBe Hongqiao Green Valley WE Park and experienced DoBe's pursuit of customer experience and service quality.
