On May 12, Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business Alumni Cultural and Creative Industry Association’s (CKGSB Cultural and Creative Industry Association for short) visiting group arrived at their 13th stop, the city of fashion ——Shanghai, and visited DoBe WE” International Hub @ Bund (DoBe WE” @ Bund for short), in search for the path to Shanghai fashion industry’s innovative development from multiple angles, such as IP cultivation, IP crossover and industry chain integration, etc.
WE” stands for West & East, the cocreation between the East and the West. In terms of hardware service and software service, WE” adopts the strong points of the East and the West, thereby surpassing the international level. It has attracted a group of outstanding domestic and overseas cultural, creative, sci-tech and innovative enterprises. The visiting group visited the park’s enterprises Franke and Funwork in succession. From the close geographic spaces to the common community activities, from space to human, the park’s enterprises have built ties, achieved cocreation and realized better development and growth in the smart circle built by DoBe.
A salon under the theme “Chinese Private Enterprises’ Road to Cultural and Creative IP” was specially arranged for the visitors. It was presided over by Luo Xiaoxia, DoBe Brand Marketing Center’s Director and Internet Center’s Director. Sun Yumiao, CEO and Founder of Hundred Interactive Entertainment, Liu Weili, CEO and Founder of Shanghai Linqu Network at DoBe Xuhui Creative LOFT, Zheng Bo, Board Chairman of China Brands Group, and Shan Jia, Deputy General Manager of Shangxiang Entertainment Group, Cofounder and COO of Doper in DoBe E-Manor of Changning, had in-depth discussion on IP operations, how to judge the potential of IP, challenges in IP cooperation in each field. Liu Weili said: “online sensations and online celebrities in our daily life are all derivatives of the concept of IP. To obtain traffic, we must graft the concept of IP reasonably and organically combine the Internet with the errand business.” Shan Jia said: “in the entire cultural and creative industry, we don’t lack IP, but the way to link it to brand reasonably.”
