On March 7, DoBe, hand in hand with CKGSB and using CKGSB China Start Program as a bond, invited young makers from China and European countries to a new sort of forum for exchanges at DoBe E-Manor of Daning. At the forum, Chinese and European makers spoke their mind freely. With their innovative projects and business passion, everyone’s 5-minute project road show won rounds of applause from the investors, enterprise representatives and media present.
In the active and open atmosphere, DoBe Group’s Board Chairman Jia Bo analyzed in depth China’s manufacturing industry which is experiencing huge changes. He said: “with the development of innovation and entrepreneurship, in the saturated venture market, 70% enterprises’ existential condition is not good. But, in DoBe’s SME sample survey, 80% light cultural, creative, sci-tech, innovative enterprises are still flourishing. As China’s policy support for small and micro businesses increases, emerging industries good at innovation and venture are promising. Chinese makers will have unprecedented opportunities.”

At the forum, Chief European Representative and Assistant Dean of CKGSB Mr. Jia Bo analyzed the reasons for Brexit, as well as the challenges and opportunities thus brought. He also introduced briefly the EMBA Program of CKGSB and its influence in China. By letting students learn from and communicate with global famous management professors, the program helps students broaden their international horizons, learn about the global economic structure and China’s economic structure, enhance their literary accomplishments and become world -wide famous entrepreneurs who know both the Chinese and western ways of doing business.
This time, CKGSB led 20 young European entrepreneurs, who are also the China Start Program’s students, to learn Chinese enterprises’ successful experience in China and inject new inspiration and energy into their business projects. They have great expectations and passion for the Chinese market. Among them, there are also “China hands” who have lived in China for years.
Apart from the 20 European makers, Chinese makers from DoBe parks were also invited to show their courses “from 0 to 1” in four different industries. Among them, the diverse fashion boutique shopping platform Farfetch which enjoys global prestige attracted the European makers’ attention. Farfetch is an international fashion website. It has commodities from 300 independent buyer stores that spread around the world. As an e-commerce platform for buyer stores, it provides women's dress, men’s wear and children’s clothes, etc. Farfetch not only focuses on the online purchasing power, but also invests in the offline retail market. By analyzing the data on online consumer behavior and offline consumer behavior in real stores, it has created a more friendly NO.1 Luxury Fashion Player in China.

All makers in the world are like a family. Nine business and innovation pioneers, including Choicely, OncoStats, Digirockstars, Sportywe, ebulliently shared their projects with us. Sportywe, a mobile sports communication platform from Finland, has sports lovers as core users. On this platform, users can not only share similar interests, form sports groups, but also browse sports facilities, reserve playgrounds, search and buy tickets for sports events they are interested in, organize private or public sports events in their groups.
Though the mobile communication industry is not yet in good profit, we believe a platform like Sportywe, which focuses on customers and fully explores vertical individualized social communication needs, is still pretty promising. Speaking of the Chinese market, against a background of innovative economy led by sport industries, Sportywe’s founder Amir Palmen is full of confidence.

No matter for the European makers who came to learn something, or for the Chinese makers who came to develop overseas markets, this exchange event that realized conversations between Chinese and European enterprises provided both sides with a chance to speak their minds freely. As outstanding representatives of Chinese enterprises, the DoBe makers also learnt cutting-edge entrepreneurial ideas from the European makers. Discussing new business models and exploring potential business opportunities in their conversations gave the makers a deeper understanding of the investment environments and markets of China and Europe. On this platform, both Chinese and European makers fully displayed their spirit of innovation from different cultures and soils!
As China’s leading professional industrial service provider committed to cultural, creative, sci-tech and innovative enterprises’ development, DoBe has always made “supporting Chinese enterprises’ international development” as its own mission. As early as 2013, DoBe built Sino Italian Design Exchange Center(Florence Base) in Florence, Italy. Two years later, the project became the bridgehead for Shanghai’s fashion and design enterprises to enter the European market. Now it plays an important role in promoting Sino-Italian exchanges and project cooperation in design and fashion fields. In 2016, WE" International Hub@SILICON VALLEY was established in Silicon Valley, USA. This also provides a green channel for Chinese enterprises to settle down in Silicon Valley and enter the international market.
In the next 3 years, DoBe will successively build international parks in more than 10 international cities around the world, including London, Tel Aviv, Paris, Munich, Tokyo, New York, Houston and Melbourne, to connect domestic and overseas services. DoBe wants to build a global service platform--- an “embassy” for enterprises--- to pave the road for foreign cultural and sci-tech enterprises that want to enter the Chinese market, and open green channels for domestic enterprises that want to become international. DoBe not only serves Chinese cultural and sci-tech enterprises, but also serves global cultural and sci-tech enterprises. By providing international two-way services, it will realize its double-drive global development strategy.
