On Oct. 11th, to thank DOBE Group’s outstanding contributions made in the preparation and operation of Shanghai & Florence, Sino-Italian Design Exchange Center, UNESCO “Creative City” (Shanghai) Promotion Office and Florence Government of Italy jointly granted DOBE a Certificate of Honor.
Italian Consul General in Shanghai, Mr. Stefano Beltrame, Deputy Mayor of Florence, Ms. Cristina Giachi, Director of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Casermatization and Director of Shanghai Creative City Promotion Office, Li Yaoxin, Deputy Director of Shanghai Cultural and Creative Industry Office and Inspector of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Casermatization, Chen Yuehua, Executive Officer of Shanghai Cultural and Creative Industry Office and Director of Shanghai Promotion Center for City of Design, He Shouchang, and other leaders attended the ceremony and awarded Certificates of Honor to organizations and individuals made major contributions to Sino-Italian Design Exchange Center Project. As the operator of Sino-Italian Design Exchange Center (Florence Base), DOBE was praised and honored by both Chinese and Italian representatives.
Deputy Mayor of Florence Ms. Cristina Giachi said in her speech: “we appreciate the participation of Shanghai Government and various organizations and institutions. Thank you for promoting Sino-Italian Design Exchange Center Project with us. We are willing to continue our cooperation, to promote the project’s development, and increase the friendship between Italy and China in the future.”
Director of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Casermatization, Li Yaoxin said: “Sino-Italian Design Exchange Center Project started a new mode for the cooperation and exchange between Shanghai and Florence in creative design industry and field. It provides Chinese enterprises settled in the base with a series of platform services like brand exchange, industrial connection, overseas classroom and business service, etc. Meanwhile, it recommends enterprises and products with Chinese design elements to the whole Europe, and paves the road for them to develop market in Europe. The project has a huge space and broad prospect. It carries the expectations of the municipal governments of Shanghai and Florence.”
It’s reported that under the operation of DOBE Group, Shanghai & Florence, Sino-Italian Design Exchange Center (Florence Base) officially opened on March 25th this year. So far, 12 enterprises, including A-Zenith Furniture, Tongji University’s Overseas Campus in Florence, and M50 Art Center, have settled in. Shanghai local cultural and creative design enterprises have visited Italy for exchange activities one after another, to promote Chinese and Italian design industry’s development.
