On March 4th, City Councilwoman of Milan (Italy) Cristina Tajani visited E-manor of Changning accompanied by Eugenia Palagi, the Italian Consul in Shanghai, and Mr. Pan Jin, Deputy Secretary General of Shanghai Promotion Center for City of Design. Jia Bo, president of DOBE Group received the visitors.
Milan Councilwoman Cristina Tajani is in charge of the education, economy and culture related work in Milan. This time she mainly came to spread Italian culture and advertise 2015 Milan Expo. During the visit, she profusely praised the architectural design of E-manor of Changning, and agreed with the idea to renovate old plants and maintain historical buildings for recycle. She thought E-manor of Changning integrated national features with modern industrial design, which displayed the beauty of the buildings, and made them glow with new vitality.
After that, DOBE President Jia Bo showed the development history of DOBE to the Italian visitors, and mainly introduced China’s first overseas cultural and creative industry park undertaken by DOBE in Florence——Shanghai & Florence Sino-Italian Design Exchange Center. Cristina Tajani said she had heard of this center before, and showed great interest. Shanghai & Florence Sino-Italian Design Exchange Center is China’s first Creative Design Industry Development Base constructed in Europe. It will be the window for the exchange between Shanghai, the city of design, and Florence, the palace of arts.
