August 12, 2011 - August 14, 2011, DOBE Water Molecule Loving Angel Guardian Program, together with the “Simple Scholarship” organization, were heading towards the start point of the Loving Angel Guardian Program: Pucheng County, Fujian Province. Within three days, 15 families were visited and 14 difficult families received financial assistance.
In the depth of the beautiful mountains and clear waters, lots of families are desperately needed: the only electrical appliances of many families are the two rayless light bulbs! Parents of the families are in poor health condition. But hope of the children shall not be worn away by the poverty and illness! In the innocent eyes of the children, behold the most pure longing for the future.
Qi Zhen, 12 years old, whose family is among the most needed locating in the very depth of the mountains, she is outgoing, with good humor and sensibility. There is a one hour and a half mountain path to her school which also contains an inevitable single-plank bridge. She is very progressive and almost undertakes all the family burdens solely. There is no labor force in the family for her slight mentally retarded parents: her father is held in restrain for stealing the sweet-scented osmanthus saplings and her mother is able to take care of her little sister Lu Shan only, who never has the chance to attend the nursery school. Grandmother of Qi Zhen is 81 years old and also in very poor health condition, always having the headache. The only word used by Qi Zhen to describe the conditions of her family is “hopeless”, which is indeed the most touchable feelings of a 12-year-old child. The whole property of the family is less than 500 Yuan, and only over 100 Yuan in cash without fixed income currently. The fund made a small contribution 600 Yuan to Li Qizhen on the spot and another 1000 Yuan to the nursery school which Li Lushan attending.
